Slinkset Help

I have domain on godaddy. I followed the instructions - removed the A host - now there is nothing in the A host category. Cname (alias) slinkset.com points to sockittome.info.

There is no email or anything else associated with the domain.

Still getting the message "address not found" after 12 hours.

I have a hosting account elswhere - would I be better off changing the name server to the hosting account first and trying this again?

im stumped. don't see it doing it with non-slinkset sites. tried making the css !important but that doesnt work. anyone familar with this problem ?

sorry if you have explained this somewhere. i was wondering if the time a link is posted is a factor in whether it reach the top. for example on my site i have disabled down-voting for the links. does this mean that in order for a link to move down in rank, it has to be bested by another in up-votes or will it eventually slide in consideration of when it was posted. thanks !

Anyone know of a tutorial to help set up a domain with Slinkset using Godaddy? I have yet to figure this out.... been working on it for about a day now...

doesnt show up in explorer or chrome. thinkin about tinkerin with the css myself unless someone knows a quick fx fix?

this is not a query, just help for anyone who might have such a query. for my slinkset site at least i wanted to center the logo+banner and remove the title and sub-title from view as they were already drawn in my banner so what i did was first edit the css to center the image using....

.title-bar .logo img {
display: block;
margin:0px auto;
}

and then i moved the title and subtitle off the page using....

.title-bar .title, .title-bar .sub-title {
position:absolute;
left: -10000px;
}

the reason i used this method instead of display:none is that i want search engines to pick up on it. i could also have just matched the color of the font to the background image, say white on white but likewise it has been said that some search-engines notice this and think you are trying to game their results and penalize you for it. also using the above method, makes it accessible for screen-readers and html only browsers.

if anyone finds anything wrong with the above code, let me know. read a book on css 6 months ago but then went in another direction so i have not been practicing and im no expert. hope its useful to someone.

You need to confirm your domain with them by uploading a specific webpage or meta tag in the header. Similar to the analytics code, all that would be needed is provide the webpage code or the webpage name.

I realize I could unpoint my domain from here, but I dont want to have to do that. I think many people would appreciate this feature and its very simple! If you can't add it - could you manually help me out?

I really like SlinkSet and would love to see how other people are using their slinkets.

I am reasonable proficient with css (at least enough to hide a div), but I haven't found a way of differentiating between popular/recent pages & the item pages.

Using a private slinkset page I tried to invite a friend with an email like example_@example.com. Unfortunately it didn't work since I was told "contains an invalid email". This is the guys regular email though and it is definitely valid!

I changed the font colour for my link titles, can you tell me why only some of them are blue and the rest are grey?

I tried to change the template to another colour, save and go back to the original template so it would default back to the original but this does not work either.

Ideas?
