You need to confirm your domain with them by uploading a specific webpage or meta tag in the header. Similar to the analytics code, all that would be needed is provide the webpage code or the webpage name.
I realize I could unpoint my domain from here, but I dont want to have to do that. I think many people would appreciate this feature and its very simple! If you can't add it - could you manually help me out?
I have this problem too. In order to upload a sitemap to google webmaster, google only allows you to point the sitemap directly to the domain (e.g. www.domain.com/sitemap.xml). If you are using slinkset with your own domain (as I am) you can't have both.
I'll take a look into this.
thanks
their example looks like:
<head>
<meta name="verify-v1" content="zaR5pOdhZ47lpLUabcsg8zWM=" />
<title> My title </title>
</head>
where they supply the content value so you can verify that it is your domain.
Alternatively you can add a webpage to confirm it buy having a page with a specific name they provide.
It is under the webmaster tools.
Ok. I'm not sure this is something we'll be doing across the board anytime soon. Email me (brett [a-t] slinkset) and I'll figure out a way to get it working for you.
